Trudy's Table - Jocelyn's Mondrian Lunch
Each month one host gathers together colleagues from across the business to laugh, chat and get to know each other better. We call this Trudy’s Table. The host will choose their theme based on a Talking Tables range and build their table using these products plus additional props right here in London.
Jocelyn, Director & Head of Production, hosted her very own Mondrian gathering using our Rainbow Brights collection.
We spoke to Jocelyn after to find out more about her inspiration and what she enjoyed most.
Did you enjoy the experience of hosting your gathering?
Very much so! I enjoyed incorporating some of the things I love (architecture and abstract art) into the theme of our gathering. I wanted to pay homage to the 100 year anniversary of Bauhaus too; mixing geometry with some block colours to add some vibrancy and fun!
What impact did Talking Tables' product have on the table?
I used our Rainbow Brights range as the primary colour base for the table. I love this range; it's fun, bright and unusual - particularly our shaped plates and napkins. Adding in these shapes allowed me to have fun with the geometry of the table, too!
Who would you dream guest(s) be?
I've enjoyed being able to go to lots of live music again, after living abroad last year, so to mark how great this summer has been for me, I’d invite some of my favourite performances of the year - Héloïse Letissier – Chris, from Christine and the Queens and Robyn. I’d also invite Le Corbusier as I absolutely adore his buildings and of course, Piet Mondrian, pioneer of the abstract art movement.
We'll be sharing more Trudy's Table gatherings soon!
