This week we celebrated our team mate Andreea’s 40th birthday. Naturally, we pulled out all the stops to give her a special Talking Tables style celebration.

We invited a few close work friends to join us for a mini get-together in our kitchen space and went to town with our new birthday Smiley Face and Wavy Line collections. The vibe was bright, joyful and laid back. We set the table with our yellow gingham cloth and added Andreea’s favourite and in-season blooms, beautiful peonies, in bud vases along the table. We then layered rainbow stripes, playful plates, colourful cutlery and party hats all round – because who says party hats are just for kids?

One of our favourite details was the giant “40” collage we created as a backdrop. We filled it with photos of Andreea from holidays, adventures, and hilarious team moments over the years. It made the perfect spot for a birthday selfie and had everyone feeling nostalgic and smiley.

We treated Andreea to a delicious bake from Cutter & Squidge topped with fresh raspberries and birthday candles, and we all gathered round to sing a big happy birthday.

We discovered our new favourite product for the season: brightly coloured balloons with happy birthday letter tails. These worked perfectly stuck to the ceiling and really tied everything together to create a low-effort, high-impact birthday set up.
