You may have noticed Cake Angels pop up on our Instagram a few times over the last few months. We are pleased to have partnered with them on a number of campaigns and giveaways. At Talking Tables we are all about bringing people together to create memories, and what better addition to any gathering than delicious cakes made easy. Cake Angels have created a range of cake mixes and decorations without any artificial ingredients and fully recyclable packaging. Not only that but their kits mean there's no need to rush around looking for all kinds of ingredients, as it's already mixed - perfect for getting little ones involved in preparation!

Each month at Talking Tables we put on craft clubs for the team and last month the Cake Angels team sent us a great selection of cake kits and toppings so we could try our hand at cake decorating. This resulted in a variety of success on the decorative front, but certainly a lot of delicious cakes!

As part of our commitment to give back to those less fortunate we have been putting together birthday bundles which have been delivered to local food banks. Sadly there are people who are struggling to make ends meet which often means they are unable to put on birthday celebrations for themselves or loved ones. We believe everyone deserves to feel special on their birthday so this is why we are pleased to have started this initiative. These bundles include some key items for celebrations - candles, balloons, paper plates and cups, napkins and banners. 

Having built up our partnership with Cake Angels we realised that these bundles offered a great opportunity for them to be involved, and add the ultimate element to birthday celebrations - cake! The team at Cake Angels are thrilled to be involved and sent us out a very generous amount of products to add into our next bag drop, which was earlier this week. 

We dropped the food bank bags off to Norwood & Brixton Foodbank. The manager, Elizabeth, was delighted. From this distribution centre in a re-purposed church, the bags will be taken to up to seven local hubs across the area; some even taken directly to homes as most people can’t afford cars and struggle with collections.
