My daughter really liked these retro looking candles with the stuffed olive design. They are made by a UK company and are eco friendly. A lovely pair of candles. At £9.99 they make a lovely gift.

I recently received these tapered Tall Dinner Candles with the Olive design, and I was impressed by how elegant they looked. The olive design adds a subtle yet stylish touch, making them perfect Ifor dinner parties or special occasions. The eco-friendly packaging was a nice bonus, and the candles burned evenly for the hours they promised. However, while they looked fantastic as table centerpieces, I do feel they are a bit too expensive for what they are. The quality is there, but it’s hard to ignore the price, especially when similar candles can be found at a lower cost. Still, if you’re looking to elevate the aesthetics of your table and are willing to splurge, these candles certainly add a beautiful touch.

The candles arrived unboxed, simply wrapped In a single loose layer of tissue, but were not marked in any way on unpacking. They are supplied by a UK company that promotes sustainability in its products, which for me is a positive. The candles are attractive having a slim tapered shape and will look elegant on a dinner table (for example). I liked the lemon patterning which looked better in real life than in the sales images. I feared that they might look rather like transfers, but they don’t. In fact they are sweet and look quite sophisticated (for want of a better word). I cannot comment on how they burn as I will use them decoratively for a while, perhaps lighting them next time we have a dinner party, but according to the sales information they should burn for 5 hours, which seems a very reasonable period for such slim candles. At the current cost of £11.99 for two candles they are not competitively priced for tapered dinner table candles, but they are not extortionately expensive and personally I don’t mind paying a little extra for sustainably produced items. Although I understand that packaging is environmentally wasteful, I think that some more protection might have been helpful, even though in my case there was no damage. I will give them a rating of 4 stars.

This pair of tapered candles arrived with a cardboard band holding them together (hence the eco packaging). Unfortunately, this meant that the candles did pick up a small amount of damage during shipping which is a bit of a shame considering they are all about the visual decorative element. The candles come in various different designs including tomatoes, check, lemons and olives (I received the tomato version). Each candle measures 23cm in height with a diameter of 20mm and fits into my candle holder securely. They are made from unscented wax and have a burn time of 5 hours. The tomato design candles have two different coloured backgrounds, one with a standard white background and the other a vibrant green. Personally, I would have preferred two matching white candles for continuity but this is personal preference and I understand that the candles are part of a larger ‘tomato’ range. Priced at £9.99 at the time of reviewing, this isn’t exactly a cheap pair of candles but they are an interesting talking point and a fun addition to a dinner party. However, I feel due to the price point most people will buy these decorative candles more for display in a centrepiece rather than for burning.

I've recently got into having dinner table candles and these are so sweet with the olive design on them. As someone who loves olives and bread this is a nice memento. For me, these are more display candles than ones you'd use. The candles themselves seem really soft and a nice quality wax. They're slightly smaller at the very base which is perfect for fitting in my candle holders and staying straight. Add a bit of colour to look at.
