For me, fireworks night is the best night of the year! Unlike its neighbour holidays Halloween and Christmas, it comes with minimal expectation and expense. There are no presents or chocolates to buy or fancy-dress costumes to whip up at the last minute. The whole night is just about wrapping up warm, spending time by a fire and watching some beautiful fireworks with some friends, some bubbly and a good burger.

I tried to embody that in my tablescape, making it a simple table but using a whole mish-mash of our candles and candleholders in our autumnal oranges, yellows and pinks with a pop of gold in our Apple Ice bucket and our star napkins. All our different fairy lights featured down the centre of the table to help create an easy evening ambience and worked so beautifully it would definitely be a perfect vibe for Christmas and new year too.

For our food, it just had to be burgers! ‘Bite-Me Burger’ provided the sweetest mini burgers and sides for us all to enjoy and left us with just enough room for some fire toasted s’mores to end the night with.
