From cement bags to reusable totes

One of the most interesting things about our tote bags is where they start.

They're crafted in India from repurposed cement bags. The discarded plastic bags are washed, shredded and transformed into strong new threads, which are then woven into durable fabric.

The fabric is subsequently embroidered using a hand-guided embroidery machine, giving each design its distinctive character.

It's a simple idea with a big impact: taking a material that would otherwise be discarded and transforming it into something colourful, practical and made to be used again.

One of the strengths of the collection is its versatility. Our core designs – including colourful fruit and Mediterranean-inspired motifs – have a trans-seasonal appeal that works well beyond one particular occasion.
