FSC Friday

Posted by Beth Pickard on

It’s FSC Day today. But what’s hosting a gathering got to do with forests?

Quite a lot, it turns out. Almost everything we make – from bunting to party games – contains paper or wood. And could we really be happy if we thought our products were harming the environment?

So, since 2012, the FSC logo on our packaging means the paper and wood are from well-managed forests.

But is it enough? Not really.

Plastic and pesticides are big issues too. And brilliant though the FSC is, that’s not in their remit. So we pushed ahead and banned single-use plastics from all our new products, and switched every one of our 2022 range of textiles to organic cotton.

We’ll do more. And we’ll keep asking what more we can do.
