Junior Artworker

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Artworker to join the small in-house design team, based in the Studio. This candidate will ideally have one to two years industry experience to fulfil the following role:



  • Make artwork changes to existing artworks where required (e.g. small text corrections or revisions)

  • Be able to make good mock-ups when required

  • Complete product and packaging artwork onto cutter from visuals for mock-up and production

  • Create Sales sheets of ranges in development for sales purposes

  • Complete the design and layout for company brochures (approximately twice a year)

  • Assist with marketing material e.g. newsletters

  • Occasionally produce original designs

  • Assist in creating product and packaging 3D structures and cutter guides

  • Work alongside other members of the team and carry out general duties as instructed

  • Complete basic Studio admin


 Qualifications and Experience:



  • Experienced using a Mac

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (CS5), particularly InDesign and Illustrator, and less importantly Photoshop

  • Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. This would apply to brochure work where deadlines are critical

  • Previous experience working in a studio is preferable

  • Be able to show examples of the above skills

  • A keen eye for detail with a genuine interest in design

  • Interest in party products and how customers use them


 Terms:



  • Salary: £19K - £21K (dependent on experience) + 25 days holidays, plus Bank Holidays.

  • Full time position Monday to Friday with core working hours 9.00am-5.30pm.

  • We shall do a review after 3 months to provide feedback on candidate’s work. Further formal reviews take place every 12 months.

Customer service and sales assistant

Fantastic starting point in a creative, dynamic commercial business. Would suit a recent graduate or second/third job for a school leaver with good academic background.


The role involves:



  • Customer service – first point of contact for customers

  • · Sales assistance – support of Sales team

  • · Public sales – online and phone sales to public

  • · Office duties – ensure office runs smoothly on a day to day basis

  • · Front desk – be the face and voice of Talking Tables
