Flowers make us happy - Paula Pryke

Posted by Alice White on

In the week that would have been the annual Chelsea Flower Show in London, we are celebrating all things floral. We are asking ourselves which flowers make us happy, and asking our friends what their favourite flowers are and how they make them feel.

Our first contribution comes from Paula Pryke, a world-renowned, London based florist.

"All flowers make me happy but one of my favourite at this time of year is Peonies.

I first fell in love with peonies when visiting my great grandmother who had a thatched cottage and the front garden was full of Lily of the Valley and big blowsy, deep red peonies. They start as small buds and end up these amazing huge, fluffy flowers."

You can find out more about Paula and her stunning floral arrangements here.

To keep up with the virtual Chelsea Flower Show events, take a look at the Royal Horticultural Society website here.
